6pm Chapel Street, South Yarra

A bar sits on the corner of Chapel and High Streets in South Yarra.

It's called the Lucky Coq.
When I lived up the road it was uncool -
frequented by the local drunks in the day and uni students at night.
It was called the Duke of Windsor then.
Now it has fancy vodka and micro brews on tap.
Now it's cool, with a sexy, rude name.
Now it closes its red velvet curtains to the world at 6pm;
blocking out the view of the tram lines and street lights.
